Anna Ghiraldini is a PhD student at University of Parma with a project on Enzo Mari’s archive.
During the first year of her doctorate, she worked as organization assistant at Study Centre and Communication Archive (CSAC, University of Parma) for the exhibition “Gio Ponti. Loving architecture” (MAXXI, Rome, 27.11.2019> 13.4.2020).
She graduated in Architecture at Iuav University of Venice in 2015 with a final dissertation on the architectural work of César Manrique and then she worked there as a teaching assistant for the courses of Theory of Architecture and Architectural Composition (from 2015 to 2017), Visual Arts (2017), Art History workshop for the Olivetti Shop (Venice 2016), “La Montagne de Venise” workshop (with Yona Friedman, Venice 2016), WA.Ve. workshop (with Carme Pinós, Venice 2016). She obtained two research fellowships on design (Iuav, 2018 and 2017).
She curated some exhibitions in Venice (“Ucronia. Spazio del Divenire”, Ca’ Pesaro, 23.3>22.4.2018, “Echi d’acqua”, Olivetti Shop, 25.11.2016> 8.1.2017, “Ucronia. Immagine della città”, Iuav, 27.3.2017, “Manrique: E-Motion”, Ca’ Pesaro, 17.5>5.6.2016).
In 2018 she was one of the organizers of “INTER/rotto IN/finito” seminar held in Ca’ Pesaro, Venice, and she co-edited the publication of the proceedings.
In 2016 she collaborated on a research for a visual historical installation for “Venezia, gli ebrei e l’Europa” exhibition (Palazzo Ducale, Venice, 19.6> 13.11.2016).
Since 2016 she has been part of the editorial staff of “La Rivista di Engramma” scientific journal (director prof. Centanni, Iuav) for which she has co-edited some issues and published several essays, including: Un caso di narrazione spaziale. La metrica di César Manrique a Lanzarote, n. 150, Noi, naufraghi ai confini del mondo. Due tappe alla Biennale Arte di Venezia 2017, n. 147, with M. Centanni, Sara Copio Sullam a dialogo con gli intellettuali del suo tempo and Il Codice di Giulia Solinga (BMCVe, ms Cicogna 270). Il processo in Parnaso in difesa di Sara Copio Sullam, n. 136. She is in charge of the printed and online publications of Edizioni Engramma.
Eleonora Poli is a PhD student in “Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Studies” at University of Parma with a project on the healthcare reforms, especially in the nursery-child department, implemented by the government of Maria Teresa of Austria at the Ospedale Maggiore of Milan (1740-1780). Her research concerns, in particular, the foundation of the midwifery school for country midwives and for wet nurses of the outlying districts.
She graduated in History at University of Milan (2018) with the thesis Infantes expositi Hospitali Magno: abbandono, assistenza e baliatico nella Milano di fine ‘400, with the purpose of analyzing the problem of abandoned children in the fifteenth-century Milan, with reference to the strategies adopted by the Ospedale Maggiore of Milan to manage the entry of exposed children within the hospital walls.
Currently, she is member of the examination committee of Medieval History for the degree course in “Cultural Heritage Sciences” at University of Milan. She was teaching assistant in the laboratory La Ca’ Granda dei Milanesi. Formazione all’itinerario di visita (2017-2019), after having carried out, for some years and on behalf of the University, a service of guided tours at the historical site of the University of Milan.
She is a member of the Italian Society of Women Historians (SIS) and of the Italian Society for the History of the Modern Age (SISEM). She attended the conference: Confronti Rivoluzionari (XVI-XIX secolo), Genova, 10-12 aprile 2019, with the paper: Rivoluzione in corsia. Donne, lavoro e conoscenze mediche all’Ospedale Maggiore di Milano (XVI secolo).
She has pubblished: Gestire e controllare il lavoro delle madri di latte. Simone Marsi graduated in Italian Literature at University of Pisa writing a thesis on Carlo Emilio Gadda. He focused on Italian twentieth century literature, publishing on Clemente Rebora (Con me in persi moti, Franco Cesati, 2016), and Salvatore Satta (L’essere umano e il suo destino, “Strumenti Critici”, n. 3, 2018).
He is currently a PhD student in Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Studies at University of Parma, where he is studying the canon of Italian literature in textbook (1861-1945).
He is member of ELICom, a research group at University of Parma studying inclusive communication and language teaching. He is one of the editors of ELICom on Mondo Erickson (https://www.erickson.it/it/mondo-erickson/elicom/).
Teresa Roversi completed a bachelor degree in Philosophy at University of Bologna in 2015, with a thesis on “Moral imagination in Hans Jonas and Gunther Anders”. She completed a master’s degree in Philosophy at University of Parma in 2018, with a thesis on “The concept of a person in John Dewey”.
She began her doctoral studies in Philosophy in 2018, within the Doctoral School in Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Sciences at University of Parma. Her main research interests are the debate on personal identity and American pragmatism, with a focus on John Dewey. She translated into Italian some articles by Dewey («The Theory of Emotion. The Significance of Emotions» in Antologia di scritti pragmatisti sulle emozioni, Rosenberg & Sellier, 2020; «Things and persons» in «La società degli individui», 65, 2019/2) and has been collaborating with the journal of political and moral philosophy “La società degli individui”.
She is a founding member and president of the student association Vita Activa, which promotes student projects in the areas of philosophy (the seminar cycle “Idee in bozza”), poetry and general culture.
Dorothea Burato is a PhD student in Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Studies at the University of Parma, with a project on relationships between cinema industry and Italian Fashion in post-war period. She got her Master’s degree in History and Critic of Arts and Spectacle, with a thesis on “Ideas of Rinascita: the cinematic case”.
Currently, she is member of the “SIR project” Datacritics: Italian criticism in post-war cultural and popular periodicals (1945-1955) at University of Parma, for which she is examining female periodicals and fashion magazine.
She is member of the editorial board of “Cinergie - Il cinema e le altre arti”.

Mara Conti, born in Rimini (Italy) in 1991, studied Classics at the University of Parma (Italy), where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Classics (110/110 with honours), and her Master’s degree in Classical and Modern Philology and Literature (110/110 with honours and recommendation for publication), with a thesis in Greek Philology entitled Sophoclean Tragedy and Scholarship. Ancient and Humanistic Specimina​ (Tutors: prof. Massimo Magnani, prof. Gualtiero Rota).
Moreover, during her studies she earned the Academic Diploma in Violin at Conservatory “Arrigo Boito” of Parma (Italy).
She dealt with the transcription and digitalization of greek documentary and literary papyri (Leiden+ markup language on Papyri.info and on the Digital Corpus of Literary Papyri platform), during her Internship in International Mobility at the University College London (UCL). She is currently a PhD candidate in Philological-Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Artistic Sciences at University of Parma, with a project on The Scholia recentiora to Sophocles’ Antigone (tutor: prof. Massimo Magnani).
Her main fields of research are the classical and Byzantine scholarship and the manuscript tradition of the Sophoclean tragedies.
